What is Hokodo?

Hokodo is a payments solution that enables B2B merchants and marketplaces to offer instant payment terms to their customers at checkout, even on their first purchase.

Hokodo easily integrates into your checkout flow and streamlines the process of offering trade credit, so your customers get a frictionless checkout experience.

What sets us apart?

Robust: We have built our own banking rails. We’ve been granted an Electronic Money Institution licence passported across the whole European Union and so can offer our services independently, compliantly and safely.

Flexible: Our solution is modular. It consists of several building blocks: Pay Now, Pay Later, Credit scoring; Collections; Non-payment Protection; Fraud Protection; Financing to name a few. The blocks can be switched on or off to suit your use case. Furthermore, if you want to extend more credit to Buyers than our limit, you can do so (see Merchant Limits).

Comprehensive: If your customers make one-off purchases through your platform, they can choose their preferred payment plans on the go. On the other hand, if they’re regular customers, you can set them up with a Billing Account.

Note

Hokodo is for B2B merchants. Hokodo does not cover B2C transactions, although we do finance sales to self-employed businesses (i.e. sole traders).

Some of our merchants do not have a checkout flow that their customers pass through, and in those cases, we can finance invoices after they’re raised.
